Welcome to your October horoscope! It’s officially spooky season and this one is extra spooky because October begins with a solar eclipse in Libra on the 2nd (an extremely potent new moon). Eclipses bring twists of fate, sudden beginnings and endings, and necessary change. This one continues a story that began in October 2023 and ramped up in March 2024. Though Libra is a sign known for both diplomacy and intellectualizing emotions, with Venus in Scorpio and Mars in Cancer, there are big feelings that need to be worked through this month. Mars enters his retrograde shadow phase on the 5th opening up a story of delayed action and renewed priorities that will play out through May 2025. I’ve personally got my eyes on the 8th when Mars and Venus connect in a friendly trine aspect. If you’re looking for a job or a lover, stay open on this day.

Abundance planet Jupiter stations retrograde on the 9th: putting a button on a period of growth that’s been playing out since May 25 when Jupiter first entered Gemini. Now that ideas have been put into motion, the next few months are about taking a step back and figuring out next steps.

Extremes are reached on the 11th when Pluto stations direct in Capricorn for the final time in any of our lives, wrapping up a story that began in 2008. After nearly two decades of transformation, the final step is to own it. Instead of broadcasting this healing process (which some might be tempted to do), it’s better to work it out with a therapist or in a journal. Especially after the volume gets turned way down on communications when Mercury enters secretive Scorpio on the 13th.
