It’s not unusual to spot a celebrity, often on holiday with their family, enjoying time along the North Wales coast.
And, with the Bank Holiday Weekend coming up, there’s a good chance of spotting a famous face among the crowds.
Earlier week, Manchester United footballer Harry Maguire made an appearance in Prestatyn.
The defender stopped off at the CookHouse pub and carvery on High Street for a spot of tea with his family.
The pub gleefully posted about his visit, with Maguire posing for pictures with staff members and other customers.
The pub said on social media: “When Harry Maguire drops in for tea with his family.”
A spokesperson for the pub added: “It was great, everyone was a little star struck.
“He came in with his family and enjoyed a meal and was happy to pose for a few photos afterwards.
“We have had a great comment on the post that says ‘if the CookHouse is good enough for Harry Maguire, then we might have to go’.”
Earlier this month, 80s pop princess Tiffany called in at a Dyserth pub for a cider and a singalong.
With The Alarm’s Mike Peters as DJ, Tifanny performed her biggest hit I Think We’re Alone Now to the thrilled punters at The Red.
Mike’s wife Jules said: “Once word got out that Tiffany was in the building, the locals were frenzied with excitement!”
Tiffany stayed at the Griffin Inn in Llanbedr Dyffryn Clwyd ahead of her appearance at the Rewind North Festival in Macclesfield.
What made the stay incredible was that in 2017, the inn’s owner Sian Jones and daughter Helen had grabbed a selfie with the artist at Eat to the Beat – an 80’s tribute concert at Disney’s Epcot in Florida.
“I was genuinely shocked when she walked in,” said Sian. “We had the two rooms booked and as they all came in we realised quickly that they were a band.
“But when I recognised Tiffany it was crazy. I’ve always loved her and when I told her that I had this selfie of her with me and my daughter Helen from seven years ago she couldn’t believe it.
And last month, former star of popular television series Holby City was spotted enjoying a day out at the beach in Colwyn Bay.
Bob Barrett, known for his role as Dr Sacha Levy in the long-running medical show, stopped by at Shauns Ice Cream Van on the beach on July 22 to enjoy a ‘ninety-nine’.
