Wales’s First Minister Eluned Morgan has announced her new cabinet with a surprise return for former first minister Mark Drakeford who will be staying on in government as finance and Welsh language secretary.
Rebecca Evans, formerly the finance secretary, has taken on the economy portfolio following the recent reshuffle.
Meanwhile, Lynne Neagle, Ken Skates, Jayne Bryant, and Huw Irranca-Davies have all remained in their roles overseeing education, transport, local government, and rural affairs, respectively.
Jane Hutt continues as chief whip, but her culture portfolio will now be managed by junior minister Jack Sargeant, who will also be responsible for skills and social partnerships.
Additionally, Vikki Howells, MS for Cynon Valley, has been promoted to a junior minister role for the first time, overseeing further and higher education.
Sarah Murphy and Dawn Bowden have also retained their junior government positions.
