Wales vs Poland predictions

Both sides come into this on the back of emphatic victories in their play-off semi-finals.

Wales beat Finland 4-1 while Poland beat Estonia 5-1.

Wales have the benefit of hosting Poland with the home side surely having a bit of an advantage for such a big game.

Only one team stands in their way of making into the finals of the European Championships in Germany in the summer.

Wales took the lead in the first three minutes before Neco Williams, Brennan Johnson and Daniel James added a goal each throughout the 90 minutes.

Poland also had four goalscorers, scoring a goal each added along with an own goal from Karol Mets.

However, they were helped by Estonia going down to ten men within the first half hour, but still conceded a consolation goal via Martin Vetkal in the 78th.

That made it four goals within ten minutes in a game that was just 2-0 going into the last 20 minutes.

Poland made the most of the extra man, keeping a staggering 85% of the ball while Estonia somehow only had one shot but made it hit the back of the net.

They were well on top even before the red card but Wales will certainly make that tougher.

📝Wales vs Poland betting tips

Wales and Poland had a huge amount of chances in their respective semi-final play-offs, but they will make it a lot harder on each other for the final, but it won’t stop them both from being highly attacking for their last chance to get into the tournament.

Both teams to score, over 2 goals15/8

Wales were able to get plenty of chances despite having less of the ball.

That’s partly because they were able to hold on to their early lead though, so they will be looking to keep it more if they’re level.

Wales don’t often keep the majority of the ball though and that’s what makes them a threat on the counter.

They beat Croatia in the qualifiers group stages doing just that with only 27% of the ball but made the most of their chances.

Poland will be happy to keep hold of the ball, as they tend to do, but they should be exposed by Wales’ pace.

They too should find a goal when they keep prying though, with goal threats from Robert Lewandowski and many more.

⚽ Go for Both teams to score, over 2 goals – 15/8 with Bet365 ⚽

Lewandowski and Wilson to score – 12/1

Lewandowski didn’t score against Estonia but looks well suited to the way Wales set up defensively.

Likewise, Harry Wilson who was tenacious against Croatia earlier this season in the group stages, should find a way through for Wales.

The Poland striker has netted three goals in just seven appearances and he’s always hitting the target in qualifiers.

He netted six in ten in 2019/20 and 13 goals in just ten appearances in the 2014/15 qualifiers.

⚽ Tip Lewandowski and Wilson to score at 12/1 with Bet365 ⚽
