Wales suffered a third successive defeat in their final game at the Under-20 Summer Series as they were beaten 33-19 by hosts Italy.
Wales looked on course for their first series victory when they went in at half-time 14-5 ahead – having been 14-0 up – in Parma.
But Italy took control after the break to inflict Wales’ third loss in 10 days, after their comprehensive defeats to England and France.
Prop Maisie Davies scored two tries for Wales, with wing Nel Metcalfe – who kicked two conversions – also going over.
But the Italians finished with five tries as they claimed a third win of the series following previous successes against Scotland and Ireland.
