Wales will be taking part in the 2024 Pulse Electrical Rugby League Tri-Nations this Saturday at The New Forge Sports Centre, Belfast.
The festival is being held in Ireland for the first time, following the events in 2021 in Leigh East, England (which featured England, Ireland and Canada) and 2022 in Bethesda, Wales.
There is just the one uncapped player in the squad in Nigel Davies as Wales take on Ireland at 2.45pm then England at 3.40pm. The matches are 40 minutes long, with Ireland facing England to round off the day at 4.30pm.
Masters Rugby League is played by people aged 35 and over. Even though tries are scored in Masters Rugby League, no points are recorded and there are no winners in this version of the sport, with every match ending officially in a 0-0 draw. There are no champions and no cup finals – Masters is about is all about the spirit of the game. It’s also great for mental well-being.
If you want to get involved in Masters, there are clubs all around Wales.
