A Torfaen firm which specialises in safety in working environments such as construction sites has been sold to a global company.
Xwatch Safety Solutions has been sold to Leica Geosystems, part of the Hexagon group, a global leader in public safety solutions.
Founded and headquartered in Cwmbran, XWatch Safety Solutions has a long heritage in the safety market. Its products use the latest hardware technology to ensure maximum safety for machine operators and reduce risks in working environments such as construction sites.
XWatch first collaborated with Leica Geosystems on an innovative 3D Avoidance Zone system to proactively manage risk and to integrate with Hexagon’s suite of safety construction tools. The sale to Hexagon provides an opportunity to leverage Hexagon’s global reach and reach a wider worldwide audience.
Nasdaq-listed Hexagon is a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies, with more than 24,500 employees across 50 countries. The acquisition of Xwatch will strengthen its construction safety portfolio.
Geldards’ Corporate team advised the shareholders of Xwatch Safety Solutions on its sale to Hexagon. Leading on the deal was Partner Andrew Morris, Associate Stewart Knights and Solicitor Jamie East.
