Top Female Business Leaders to Speak at Torfaen Women in Business Event

Date:

Debbie Gliniany, owner of Mamau Ffit, and Vicki Spencer-Francis, Managing Director and founder of Cowshed Communications, will be sharing their insights into running award-winning businesses at the next Torfaen Women in Business event.

The evening will also include live entertainment, networking opportunities, trade tables including a mini Christmas market, and a raffle with prizes worth hundreds of pounds.

Councillor Joanne Gauden, Torfaen Council’s Executive Member for Economy, Skills & Regeneration, said: “Last year was the first Torfaen Women in Business event since the pandemic and the energy and enthusiasm in the room was inspiring.

“The evening is a great opportunity for like-minded businesswomen to share experiences, learn from each other, expand their business networks and have a really good time.”

More than 100 women attended last year’s event.

Among them was Kirsten Tuck, solicitor with Everett Tomlin Lloyd and Pratt, in Pontypool, who said:

“I’ve been to a number of these events and they are always very enjoyable. I am really pleased they have started up again and it’s been so nice to see so many new faces.”

This year’s Torfaen Women in Business event will be held at The Parkway Hotel, in Cwmbran, on Thursday 14 November, between 4.30pm and 8pm.

Tickets cost £12 each, £15 with a pop-up banner or £25 with a Christmas Fayre table.

This year’s Torfaen Women in Business event will be supporting Cyfannol Women’s Aid, which supports victims of domestic abuse and their families. Last year, the event raised more than £1,500 for the charity.

The Torfaen Women in Business event is fully-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
