McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend has announced a charity partnership with local cancer support charity, Maggie’s.
The partnership will involve the Designer Outlet collaborating with the charity on various fundraising events over the next year.
Maggie’s provides free expert care and support in centres across the UK and online and has built up a vital support network for cancer sufferers and their loved ones in Wales. This collaboration aims to raise awareness and funds for the invaluable services provided by Maggie’s Centres in Cardiff and Swansea.
Maggie’s South-East Wales Centre, located in the grounds of Velindre Cancer Centre in Whitchurch, has been providing comfort and support to the South-East Wales community for over five years.
The South-West Wales Centre, based in the grounds of Singleton Hospital in Swansea, will celebrate its 13th birthday this October. Both locations offer free professional support to thousands of people living with cancer and their loved ones each year.
Hayden Tucker, Centre Manager at McArthurGlen Bridgend, said:
“We are thrilled to be partnering with such an impactful organisation like Maggie’s. Our shared commitment to supporting the local community aligns perfectly with our core values at McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend. We look forward to hosting various fundraising events throughout the year to help contribute to this worthy cause.”
Hayden will also be participating in The National Three Peaks Challenge this July on behalf of Maggie’s, in a personal fundraising effort on behalf of the Designer Outlet.
“We are looking forward to working with McArthurGlen Bridgend Designer Outlet to create meaningful change in our community,” said Lucia Osmond, Centre Fundraising Manager for Maggie’s Swansea. “This partnership will aid us in continuing to provide our essential services to those affected by cancer in the South Wales area. It’s through collaborations like these that we can reach more people and make a bigger impact.”
