Qualia Law CIC has won the Social Enterprise Innovation of the Year at the Cwmpas Social Business Awards 2024.
In partnership with the Welsh Government, the awards celebrate the most impactful social enterprises across Wales, with this year’s event held in Llandudno.
The Cardiff firm said that its pro bono deputyship services, funded by The National Lottery, UnLTD and its collaboration with local authorities to provide accessible legal support, were key drivers of the recognition. It said the award also highlighted the broader role Qualia Law CIC plays in reshaping the legal sector to prioritise accessibility and social responsibility. Qualia Law CIC’s model helps local authorities across England and Wales safeguard their most vulnerable residents through the expert management of their financial affairs.
Tom Evans, Founder and CEO of Qualia Law CIC, said:
“This recognition from Cwmpas is a huge honour for us. The Legal Innovation Award demonstrates our commitment to breaking down barriers to justice and creating legal solutions that work for everyone. Every business at the event was truly inspiring, and we’re humbled to be recognized alongside such impactful enterprises.”
In addition to this award, Qualia Law CIC has recently been shortlisted for the StartUp Awards UK and the Reisman Legal Impact Awards from Clio.
