INCREDIBLE new train tickets have been launched with passengers being promised unlimited travel around a “beautiful” country.
The bargain passes are being launched for the summer to encourage people to flock to the rail lines and explore some of the best places Britain has to offer.
Transport for Wales are offering out the discounted tickets to allow people to tour North Wales all the way to South Wales or anywhere in between.
The unlimited off-peak rail travel tickets can be bought as either a bumper four day pass or as a single day of travel.
Dubbed “Explore Wales”, the best multi-day passes cost £149 for adults and £74.50 for children – a far cry from the usual prices for travel.
Elsewhere, four-day tickets labelled “Explore North and Mid Wales” and “Explore South Wales” are also on offer for lower prices.
“Explore West Wales” and “Explore Cambrian” alternatively offer travellers a chance for unlimited travel for one-day.
Included in the passes is also travel on selected TrawsCymru bus routes.
All the tickets are valid for transport after 9:30am between Monday and Friday as well as all day on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.
Transport for Wales hope the offer will give customers a chance to head off around the country exploring more connections.
Passes are available on the Transport for Wales website or app, and from ticket offices or onboard from a conductor.
Those with railcards can find even bigger discounts on travel.
Partnership marketing manager at TfW, Victoria Leyshon, said: “Wales is a beautiful country to explore with lots of attractions and these unlimited rail passes provide visitors and local people with the opportunity to explore using the railway.
“The selection of passes available allow customers to travel from North Wales to South Wales with stops in between, or simply to explore just one region.
“There’s a pass available for everyone and we hope to encourage people to use them and travel sustainably.”
