Homebuilder Bellway Wales held an event in Cardiff city centre to promote its land team and acquisition activities throughout the region.
The company’s land team met key stakeholders including landowners, agents, consultants and partners at the networking event at the Parc Plaza Hotel on Greyfriars Road.
Bellway Wales is currently building new homes across South Wales in Swansea, Cardiff, Rhondda Cynon Taf as well as Gloucestershire. The land team spoke to guests about potential new development opportunities and its successes in securing several recent developments, as well as its future plans for sustainable growth.
Bellway recently secured detailed planning permission for a development in Hunts Grove, Gloucester – named Blackthorn Walk – which will deliver 107 new private homes.
Elgan Daniel, Land Director for Bellway Wales, said:
“Our networking event was a useful opportunity to talk to interested parties about our acquisition objectives, our ability to perform and discuss the challenges shared in the current climate.
“We are experts in our field, and we pride ourselves on our ability to secure land quickly, competitively and overcome the numerous challenges which both industry and vendors currently face. It’s the division’s ambition to grow the business by increasing the number of sales outlets, which will ultimately result in more housing being built to meet the very real need for homes.
“Our approach is demonstrated by our recent acquisition of land at Hunts Grove which will complement the new homes we are already building in the Gloucester area. Our developments are carefully designed to provide a broad mix of housing to meet the needs of local people with a range of budgets.
“Bringing projects such as this to fruition is where the team excels. It is a current example of how we use our expertise, and it gives an insight into how our values and strategy work together to secure land for important developments in the region.”
