Spanning 21 weeks starting from September 4, three roads will be impacted.
The Conwy County Borough Council has issued three separate orders for different streets, all aimed at facilitating the utility company’s operations.
The work will be carried out on Llewellyn Street, Grenyn Road, and Ysbytty Road in Penmachno.
Conwy County Borough Council has organised these orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1).
The orders will temporarily restrict vehicle through traffic in select regions.
The section of Llewellyn Street from the junction of Gethin Square to outside Graeanfryn will be affected.
This will divert traffic to an alternative route from the A5 onto the B4407 onto Hafod Ifan, Pont Eidda Road and back onto the A5 to Penmachno Road.

Similarly, the order will prevent vehicles on Grenyn Road, Penmachno from the junction of Penmachno to the A5 to 46 metres north of Bro Machno Footpath 07.
The alternative route that drivers can use will be via the B4406, then onto the A5, the A470 and then back to Grenyn Road.
The section of Ysbytty Road impacted is from its junction with Llewelyn Street to its junction with Groesffordd Road.
Traffic will be rerouted via Groesffordd Road onto Llewelyn Road.
The majority of work will be conducted under a traffic light system, however, there are times when complete road closures might be required.
However, roads will only be closed if a traffic sign 7010.4 is displayed on location.
The measures are deemed necessary to facilitate the works by Scottish Power.
