Blake Morgan is celebrating the publication of the 2024 rankings from the Chambers High Net Worth Guide with a special spotlight on Welsh Partner Lisa Davies, who has secured a place in the highest Band 1 tier.
Lisa – based in the firm’s Cardiff office – has been elevated from Band 2 in 2023 and is recognised for her outstanding expertise in private wealth law.
The guide describes Lisa as “exceptional” and “quick, efficient and knowledgeable in dealing with estates”. Lisa’s rise to Band 1 underscores the strength and capability of Blake Morgan’s Private Wealth team in Wales. It follows the team’s success at the Wales Legal Awards 2023, where they were named Private Client Team of the Year.
The team offers advice to high-net-worth individuals regarding estate administration, trusts and succession planning. The Chambers High Net Worth Guide described the team as “geared up to bringing all its knowledge and experience to bear to the cases of each client.”
This year, a record number of Blake Morgan lawyers were singled out in the guide, with six individuals recognised, up from five in 2023. Four of Blake Morgan’s expert Private Wealth teams were ranked as the highly regarded Band 2 for the second year running.
Other notable rankings include Senior Associate Jonathan Sleep, who saw his ranking rise to ‘Star Associate’. Partners James Greig and Paula Shea were also highly ranked, and Cardiff-based Senior Associate Nicky Sherrard was named an ‘Associate to Watch’ for a second year running. Thomas Middlehurst enters the guide with Blake Morgan for the first time this year, achieving an excellent Band 2 ranking.
Eve Piffaretti, Partner and Head of Blake Morgan’s Wales Office, said:
“Another superb result this year for our hard-working and talented Private Wealth Law teams. Special recognition goes to Lisa Davies, whose rise to Band 1 is a testament to her exceptional skills and unwavering commitment to her clients. This guide sees an even larger crop of Blake Morgan lawyers recognised for their excellent advice and service to clients at a Partner and Senior Associate level. The growing momentum year-on-year shows our colleagues’ constant drive for higher quality and impact across their work.”
