Latest Quarter Trends Reveal Boom in Cardiff’s Flex Space Market

Date:

New figures suggest a boom in take-up of flexible office space in Cardiff.

The latest Cardiff Occupational Office Data sees the city’s take-up of 113,501 sq ft 45% higher than the total Q1 take-up in 2023 and 24% above the five-year average.

The increase was celebrated during a roundtable event hosted by The Flexible Space Association’s (FlexSA).

FlexSA represents more than 1,000 flexible space locations across the country.

Jane Sartin, Executive Director at the Flexible Space Association, said:

“Cardiff’s business and office market space has consistently demonstrated remarkable strength, and I was pleased to have the opportunity to visit three of our members’ workspaces in the city, each offering something different. By bringing members together, we were able to foster the exchange of ideas and best practices, highlighting the latest industry developments.”

Thirty deals were completed in the quarter, which is 15% higher than the same period for 2023. It is expected that prime rents in Cardiff will reach £28 per sq ft during 2024.

The event took place at Office Space in Town in Cathedral Road, and Jane Sartin also visited Cobalt and Clockwise’s flexible workspaces.

FlexSA events are designed to offer networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, and professional development for members.
