Since officially joining the British royal family in April 2011 when she married Prince William, Kate Middleton’s style has gone through a true evolution. As the years have gone by, the Princess of Wales has developed a style that is classic and contemporary — traditional with a modern twist.
Through the years, there are certain designers Kate has opted to wear for several occasions. She regularly wears designs by Catherine Walker for events like the Commonwealth Day Services and has fashioned quite a few Jenny Peckham dresses for tours and galas.
More recently, Kate entered her power-suit era, wearing certain staples by Burberry and Emilia Wickstead. Kate’s love of monochrome uniformity is one element of the Princess of Wales’s style that’s remained relatively consistent.
