Kate Middleton is currently enjoying her summer vacation with Prince William and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. However, fall is just around the corner and royalists are already whispering about her next royal appearance after her rumored Olympics visit didn’t happen.
Now, fans are keeping their eyes on William’s New York City trip for the Earthshot Prize Innovation Summit on Sept. 24 — the Princess of Wales might be her husband’s plus one to the event. “Kate is very excited to be getting back in the swing of royal duties,” according to a Life & Style insider, and she’s ready to support Prince William’s passion project. To draw attention to the environmental awards, Kate hopes to make it a fashion moment because she knows that anything she wears will be headline news.

“She plans to work with at least two stylists, so she has a good range of choices,” the royal source added while noting that “Kate needs this more than anything” amid her cancer battle. She made a splash in her first event of the year at Trooping the Colour in June with her royal re-wear, a sharply tailored Jenny Packham dress. The fashion upcycle was the perfect way to keep her wardrobe a secret ahead of the event.
“Just by reworking what she already owns, it allowed Kate to keep this secret [of her appearance] within her very closest and most trusted team,” explained The Telegraph‘s fashion director Bethan Holt to Page Six. “We definitely know that Kate has tailors in-house to help make something fit her perfectly, and they could have easily added the new belt and that bow detail at the neckline, so Jenny Packham may not have even known Kate was going to re-wear the dress.”
Kate made an equally stunning appearance in a purple Safiyaa London Cecilia dress at Wimbledon on July 14 for the men’s singles final. Royal expert Darren Stanton told the Express that her wardrobe reflects her comfort in her role as the Princess of Wales. “She has an inner strength and is very motivated to do the best she can. This is shown through holding her head high, being active in conversations, and engaging in strong eye contact with people she’s never met before,” he said. “Kate didn’t have this confidence previously, and the confidence she has is quite subtle. It’s not too overwhelming and it’s clear her role comes naturally to her.”
Royal fans should be on the lookout for her rumored New York City appearance because she could be taking her fashion and assured personality to the next level in just over a month’s time.
