Heavy rainfall causes flooding and travel disruption across Wrexham

Motorists are being urged to avoid several roads across Wrexham due to flash flooding.

Torrential rainfall overnight and into today has caused significant travel disruption across the county borough.






A Met Office yellow weather warning remains in place until 9pm this evening, with further heavy rain expected over the coming hours.

Although not noted there are other floods, such as Tuttle Street / Foundry Street, close to St Giles Way in Wrexham city centre. Other floods have been reported in Plas Madoc, Rhos and the A539 by Ruabon is also closed to traffic due to the road being impassable.

A section of Mold Road into Gwersyllt is also down to a single lane due to water.
