Grants Available for Conwy Projects which Support Resilient Food System

Date:

Applications are invited for the latest round of funding from Conwy Food Partnership.

Grants of up to £2,000 could be available for events or activities which bring communities together through nutritious food.

Conwy Food Partnership is a Welsh Government funded initiative which aims to bring together various stakeholders and encourage collaborative work to achieve a more resilient food system in Conwy.

The partnership aims to reduce food miles, increase access to healthy and affordable food for all, and empower communities with knowledge and skills so that they feel confident in growing, purchasing and cooking nutritious local produce, and understand the benefits of doing so.

The Partnership has already supported a range of initiatives including gardening projects in schools, cook and eat sessions and community gardens.

Grants for eligible events and activities will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. Applications close on Wednesday 7 August 2024 and projects will need to be delivered before 31 October 2024.

For enquiries and to request an application form, please email: liz.gordon@conwy.gov.uk
