Grant Thornton Promotes New Client Service Director in South West and Wales Team

Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP has announced the promotion of Andrew Charter to Client Service Director in the South West of England and Wales.   

Andrew will operate primarily from the firm’s Bristol and Cardiff offices, leading the regional team while also working nationally in the industrial and facilities management sectors.

Andrew, who has worked at Grant Thornton for almost ten years, will focus on developing the practice in the South West and Wales, supporting and training the team, leading on new hires, and attracting new clients.

With extensive M&A experience spanning over 30 years across many different sectors, Andrew will also guide businesses and shareholders to achieve their strategic goals.

Andrew’s recent achievements include overseeing the successful sale of Taylor Maxwell to Brickability, a deal that won a prestigious AIM Transaction of the Year Award. He has also been instrumental in the sales of Partnership of Care to Mysa Care, which is backed by Downing; Hornbill Engineering to OCU Group; Crusader Medical to Civitas and Envivo; and Accuro Group Holdings to OCS Group, backed by CD&R.

In addition to Andrew’s promotion, Grant Thornton has recently welcomed Chillie Squance to the Corporate Finance team as Assistant Manager. Based in Cardiff and with a background in the M&A industry, Chillie will work across both Grant Thornton’s Cardiff and Bristol offices.
