Lake Vyrnwy set to welcome traders in for its first farmers’ market
Fresh produce and arts and crafts will be on offer as Lake Vyrnwy plays host to its very first farmer’s market.
Businesses including Conwy Valley Produce, Wonkey Willow, Floralana Flowers, and Crystal & Yarn are set to take part in the event, running between 10am and 3pm on Saturday, June 1st. Entry is free, but car parking charges apply.
Griff Watkins, Visitor Site Manager at Lake Vyrnwy, said:
“This is the very first farmer’s market event that we have hosted at Lake Vyrnwy, and we hope that it will be the first of many. It’s the perfect way to showcase what local businesses have to offer, as well as providing something new for our visitors.
“We have some fantastic traders signed up for the day and we hope to see as many people as possible come out, show their support and maybe take home an item or two.”
Hafren Dyfrdwy, which provides a water-only service in Wrexham and parts of Denbighshire and Flintshire and both a water and wastewater service in Powys, takes care of the area around Lake Vyrnwy in partnership with the RSPB.
The estate is renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich history and the centrepiece is Lake Vyrnwy, a reservoir surrounded by picturesque woodlands and hills.
The area is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and fishing, as well as a haven for wildlife.
