Family Law Firm Expands with New Swansea Office

Date:

Family law firm, Grant Stephens Family Law, has opened its second office in the Swansea Bay area due to expansion in both clients, turnover, and headcount.

The new office is headed up by Director, Nia Thomas, and is located in one of Swansea’s most sought-after locations on the waterfront, overlooking the marina.

Due to the team members having many clients in Swansea and having personal and professional connections to the area, the firm said it was a natural next step for expansion, offering specialist family law services throughout the South West of Wales.

The initial team will be comprised of existing employees from the Cardiff office including Nia Thomas – Director, Lowri Walters – Family Lawyer, and James Jones – Trainee Solicitor.

Several of the team members at Grant Stephens Family Law are also fluent Welsh speakers, catering to clients that speak Welsh as a first language.

Grant Stephens Family Law hopes to grow the Swansea office this year by increasing the headcount to cope with increased client demands.

Nia Thomas, Director and Head of the Swansea office, said:

“Since we opened in 2013, we’ve grown year-on-year in headcount and enquiries, with many of our clients coming from the South-West Wales area. This is why expanding into Swansea was the next logical step for the firm.

“Over the last year of working at Grant Stephens Family Law, there’s been a lot of positive change at the firm, and I’ve been working alongside some of the most incredible talent in the legal industry.

“Being from South West Wales myself, and having worked in firms in Swansea previously, I’m excited to spearhead this new phase of growth at the firm with the objective of getting the best results for our clients continuing to be at the heart of everything we do.”

The business currently has 15 members of staff and will also continue running from their Park Place office in central Cardiff.

Grant Stephens, Founder and Managing Director, said:

“It’s very cliche, but I am immensely proud of everyone at the firm and the work that has gone into the company to help grow it to the size that it is.

“Expanding to a second office has been on my radar for a while, and opening in Wales’ second biggest city made the most sense based on our client roster and the team’s best connections, professionally and personally.

“Since Nia began with us, she has shown nothing but true dedication, serious expertise, and great leadership skills, making her a truly great asset to run the new Swansea office.”
