Downing’s Mysa Care Continues to Grow with Three Acquisitions

Date:

Mysa Care, a specialist care provider backed by investment manager Downing, has completed three further acquisitions.

The latest deals build on last year’s transformational acquisition of PoC, a leading supported living, residential and day care provider in South Wales, and increase the total Mysa portfolio to 39 care homes and supported living units in South Wales, Hampshire, Surrey and Greater Manchester.

In South Wales, Mysa has acquired two residential properties – Parc Farm and Britannia House – which it will convert into supported living services providing a home for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

In Greater Manchester, Mysa Care has acquired EAM Group, a high-quality residential care business with three specialist care units for adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities and complex needs.

Torsten Mack, Investment Director, Downing, said:

“We are very much focused on continuing to support Mysa Care and its growth ambitions and are particularly excited by the first acquisition in the Greater Manchester area which expands the company’s geographic reach and growth footprint.”

Chris Breen, CEO of Mysa Care added:

“We are very excited for EAM to be joining the Mysa family – their person-centred approach and commitment to quality are core pillars of our business. We look forward to growing our presence in the Greater Manchester area and continuing to provide high -quality care for those most in need.”
