Dobbies Garden Centre Hosts Festive Christmas Shopping Night to Support Teenage Cancer Trust

Date:

Dobbies Moreton Park, a popular garden centre near Wrexham, has announced a festive Christmas Shopping Night on Thursday, November 21, to support the Teenage Cancer Trust. Running from 5pm to 9pm, the event will feature holiday decor, shopping offers, and special treats to help guests kick off the season in style.

Visitors will be welcomed with a complimentary glass of fizz and can explore the store’s festive displays and live demonstrations. For a cozy dining experience, Dobbies offers a two-course Christmas menu in its restaurant for £17, allowing guests to savor the season’s flavors.

Local community groups, including schools and charities, are invited to participate by decorating their own faux Christmas tree to be unveiled at the event. Selected groups will also put on performances, such as carols and readings, bringing holiday cheer to attendees.

Ayesha Nickson, Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, expressed enthusiasm for the annual event: “Our Christmas Shopping Night is a wonderful way to enjoy the festive spirit and contribute to a meaningful cause. We’re excited to see community groups join in, especially with the uniquely decorated Christmas trees on display.”

Dobbies’ long-standing partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust has raised over £1.39 million, with each year’s Christmas event adding to that contribution. Donna Bednarek, Senior Relationships Manager for Teenage Cancer Trust, highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Dobbies’ support helps us provide life-changing care for young people with cancer across the UK. It’s inspiring to see the community come together for this cause.”

Tickets are £1, available both online at Dobbies’ website and in-store, with all proceeds from ticket sales and fundraising going directly to the Teenage Cancer Trust.
