Deadline Extended for Vale of Glamorgan Business Awards Nominations

Date:

The Vale Business Awards 2024 has extended the deadline for entry to Wednesday 17th July.

Organised by Grapevine Event Management, the awards are supported by Vale of Glamorgan Council, ABPorts, Erith, Swansea Building Society, Renishaw and Stills. Business News Wales is also supporting the awards as media partner.

Founder of the awards Liz Brookes said:

“Knowing how busy this period is for people, we’ve decided to extend the deadline to the 17th July.  We are delighted with the number and calibre of organisations which have entered so far, but we don’t want anyone to miss out. If you want to nominate, you’ve got less than two weeks to get in touch and ensure the business of your choice is recognised among the most progressive organisations in Vale.  So if you know of anyone making a real difference, it’s time to get your entries in.”

The shortlist will be announced by 25th July and shortlisted businesses will then be invited to interview on either the 11th or 12th September.

South Wales Aviation Museum won the Third Sector Organisation Award in 2023.

A spokesperson said:

“Being awarded is hugely significant for us given that we are a newly established, not for profit charity where all our funds are used for rent and upkeep of the museum. We are limited in resources and depend on the goodwill of volunteers, so getting recognition is a huge morale boost, providing satisfaction and a feeling of accomplishment for everyone.”

Businesses and individuals in the Vale of Glamorgan are invited to submit entries for free across 12 categories, with those shortlisted then invited to attend the awards ceremony at the Vale Hotel on 4th October.
