This was at junction 24 of the road, in the westbound direction, with traffic heavy in the area as a result.
Traffic Wales said at 12.32pm: “Collision: A55 Westbound (Junction 24, Abergele).
“Heavy congestion in the area. We are dealing with an overturned vehicle.”
North Wales Police added at 1.04pm: “We were called at 12.24pm today to reports of a multiple-vehicle road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway of the A55 near to junction 24 (Abergele).
“Officers are currently in attendance and motorists are advised to avoid the area as traffic is currently very heavy, and we anticipate there to be road disruption for some time whilst the incident is dealt with.”
At 2pm, Traffic Wales confirmed the incident had been cleared, while no injuries were reported by North Wales Police.
