NEED IDEAS for your Christmas shopping? Then shop 100% Sir Gâr!

If you are stuck for ideas on what to buy for your loved ones and friends this Christmas, then look no further than the 100% Sir Gâr Christmas pop-up shops at Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford. For three weeks this December, small local businesses are being given the opportunity to display and sell their goods amongst big high street chains in Carmarthen, Llanelli and Ammanford Town centres, during the run-up to Christmas.

As part of Carmarthenshire County Council’s 100% Sir Gâr initiative, the Council has secured prime locations at our three main towns ahead of the festive season. The dates for this year’s Christmas pop-up shops have been published so come and join us at our fabulously festive pop-up shops, filled with artisan gifts, enchanting decorations, locally sourced food and drink and much, much more.

This project is part funded by Carmarthenshire County Council and the UK Government, through the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Cllr Hazel Evans said:

We are pleased to support small, local businesses this Christmas.

The local businesses and producers that will be trading from our 100% Sir Gâr Christmas Pop-Up Shops do not usually have an opportunity to showcase their fantastic products on the high street. This, therefore, is a fantastic opportunity for us all to enjoy, experience and buy produce that includes arts and crafts, food and drink, fashion, homeware, gifts and more whilst supporting the local economy. So, why not go for local this Christmas and visit one of these fantastic pop-ups.

100% Sir Gâr has been developed as a virtual shop window with support from the town and community councils, business and retail groups, to give local retailers and producers a platform to highlight their products.

Carmarthenshire based independent retailers, producers, makers and crafters are encouraged to register to become part of the platform which will provide an extra opportunity to promote and market their business to new and existing customers.

To register, please visit the website.
