Carys Williams-Morris: Gloucester-Hartpury sign Wales back

Date:

Gloucester-Hartpury have signed Wales back Carys Williams-Morris from Loughborough Lightning.

The 30-year-old has 10 caps for her country, with the most recent coming against New Zealand in the WXV tournament last autumn.

Williams-Morris previously represented England and made five appearances for the Red Roses before switching allegiance.

The winger also serves in the RAF as a Flying Officer and was among the players given a full-time contract with Wales for 2023-24.

“We’re excited to bring someone of Carys’ talent into the squad,” said Gloucester-Hartpury attack coach Andrew Ford.

“She has played top-level rugby for a number of years now and we know she’ll be a valuable addition to the team.”
