Cardiff Business Club is set to host Harry Brightmore, an Olympian and two-time world champion rowing coxswain, as its next guest speaker.
The event on September 24 will see Harry shares insights into his remarkable career, his experience leading the Men’s 8 Rowing Team to Olympic Gold, and his aspirations moving forward.

The evening will start with a drinks reception at 18:00, offering attendees the chance to network and connect. Harry’s keynote address will follow at 18:45, where he will discuss his journey to becoming an Olympic champion and the leadership qualities that have guided him to success. Dinner will be served at 19:45, and the event will conclude at 21:30.
About Harry Brightmore:
Born on July 1, 1994, Harry Brightmore is a British rowing coxswain who has achieved extraordinary success in the sport. He made his international debut for Great Britain in a coxed four at the 2014 U23 World Rowing Championships and subsequently coxed the British U23 men’s eight at the 2015 and 2016 U23 World Championships. Harry’s senior national representative career began in 2017, and he has since established himself as one of the best in his field.
In 2022, Harry led the Great Britain men’s senior eight to victory at both the European Rowing Championships and the World Rowing Championships, securing his first world title. He went on to win a second World Championship gold medal in the men’s eight at the 2023 World Rowing Championships in Belgrade. Most recently, Harry triumphed at the Paris Olympics, winning gold as part of the Great Britain eight.
The event will take place in the Amber Lounge at Sophia Gardens, just a stone’s throw from Sports Wales, which has supported Harry’s journey to Olympic success.
Harry has generously agreed to use this event as a platform to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance. The club will be hosting a raffle with fantastic prizes, and attendees will have the chance to take photos with Harry and his Olympic gold medal.
