Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning Launches Recruitment Campaign

Rebecca Evans MS, the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning is seeking up to four new Commissioners to join the Board of the Design Commission for Wales (DCFW Ltd).

With an appreciation of and a strong interest in good design, place-making and architecture,

Commissioners are expected to commit to two days per month to prepare for and attend quarterly board meetings. The closing date for applications is 18th November 2024.

Chaired by Ewan Jones, the Design Commission was set up by the Welsh Government as a public body working throughout Wales to promote good design for our places, buildings and public spaces. The Commission’s remit includes working with local planning authorities, investors, developers and commissioning clients throughout Wales, to capture the value of high-quality design; helping to deliver better outcomes, a better return on investment and greater public good. DCFW also nurtures the design talent and skills necessary for growth and innovation.
