Following its acquisition and integration into precision fabrication and welding group LTi Metaltech, Vessco Engineering Ltd has officially rebranded as LTi Vessco.
Present at the launch of the new brand at the company’s 45,000 sq ft manufacturing plant on the Bridgend Industrial Estate was the High Sheriff of Mid Glamorgan, Dr Richard Lewis MBE DL CStJ FRCGP. The rebrand underpins the group’s commitment in the area, supporting all existing workforce and forming a platform for future growth and employment.
The seamless blending of business operations has been overseen by the parent company’s MD, Edgar Rayner, bringing the business into the LTi Metalltechnik Group, a world-leading family of European high-tech engineering companies.
With a strong order book and a customer portfolio including big names such as Rolls-Royce, Wessex Water and Jacobs, one of the strategic imperatives behind incorporating the LTi name in the Bridgend company has been to leverage the parent company’s equally impressive portfolio of blue-chip customers where demand exists for more complex welding and premium fabrication services, including Siemens Healthineers for whom LTi manufactures cryogenic pressure vessels that are central to their globally renowned MRI scanners.
Founded as a specialist pressure vessel manufacturer by Julian Vance Daniel in 2006, Vessco Engineering Ltd has latterly been a Tier 2 supplier to the turbine hall at Hinkley Point C, supplying large pressure vessels for GE Power Systems.
From its initial order book of small, relatively low-pressure filter-type units, the company has established a highly-skilled workforce, expanding its capabilities and range to include heat exchangers, columns, tanks, skid units and silos. The company, which employs 47 people, now has an impressive track record in oil & gas, nuclear, process industries, power generation as well as water markets.
As well as its UK customers, LTi Vessco has also established a strong export presence with clients in the Middle East, continental Europe, the Americas and Asia. Bringing the company into group livery, name and branding is the culmination of three year’s hard work streamlining commercial and operational procedures and systems to ensure a seamless customer experience, whether delivered in Glamorgan or on the Milton Park industrial park in Abingdon in South Oxfordshire.
Commenting on the company’s enhanced branding and market positioning, Edgar Rayner said
“People may ask what’s in a name, and I say ‘everything’ in this case. This is much more than a new logo and name; since we bought the company three years ago, LTi Vessco has emerged into a crucial platform for the group’s expansion in strategically vital markets, from nuclear, chemicals, oil & gas, utilities and power generation to MedTech where the group has long been a premier player in the premium tier of welding and fabrication.”
