Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has announced the sale of Foxtroy House care home in Bridgend.
Established in 1987, Foxtroy House is a 29-bedroom residential care home registered for up to 31 residents.
The home was founded by Gill Owens and her late husband, David. After 37 years of ownership, Gill and her daughters, Diana and Claire, decided to sell due to retirement and to pursue other avenues.
Following a confidential sales process with Oliver McCarthy at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by Jasmine Antony owner of Fine Care 24/7.
Diana, former owner of Foxtroy House, said:
“Run as a successful family business for nearly four decades, it was the right time for us to sell Foxtroy House. The care home is a valued part of the community for residents and staff employment. We hope the new owners take forward our legacy of a caring culture and person-centred approach that has been nurtured over the decades.”
Oliver McCarthy, Director – Care at Christie & Co, said:
“It was a pleasure to help Gill, Diana and Claire with the sale of their long-established business which I’m sure will be in good hands with the new owner. Demand remains strong for a range of businesses across the care sector, and we are seeing increased activity, especially from multi and regional operators looking to grow their portfolios.”
