Summer is officially in full swing with the Fourth of July, which means super hot astrological energy is in the air along with the fireworks that burst into the night sky.

Although the American holiday is also known as Independence Day, PEOPLE’s resident astrologer Kyle Thomas notes this is a special time to link up. “We must choose to dance together and fall in love with one another,” he says.

Fourth of July occurs during a significant period astrologically as it’s the day before the new moon. July’s new moon kisses Mars, which Thomas says can bring “passion and excitement to our lives and relationships.”

New moon aside, Thomas says “all zodiac signs” will feel the “sizzling” effects of summer as a whole. “Love, sex, romance and passion will all be on the menu in 2024,” he predicts. “We will have an extremely festive and social summer this year.”

“This is due to many planets, like Jupiter and Mercury, residing in Gemini.” An “extroverted and excitable” energy coincides with this zodiac sign, aligning with those who want to mingle professionally or romantically.

Aries (March 21-April 19)

You’re heating up, Aries!

“You’re ready to drive your opinions home,” says Thomas. “Chat with everyone because the way you’ll have fun is through your ideas. Chat up that sexy someone in your group, [they’ve] got the tips!”

Taurus (April 20-May 20)

Taurus, Thomas says “you’re on fire right now and your sex drive is 100 percent — therefore, get it! Own it!”

He puts forth, “Be the driving force this weekend to make sure everyone wants you. Also, consider asking a friend out — one of your friends likes you as more than a friend.”

Gemini (May 21-June 20)

Don’t be shy, Gemini. As Thomas notes, “You never are!”

He explains, “You might feel a little coy now but the key is to roll the dice and be spicy. You’re ready for some changes so let it play out in your relationships.”

Cancer (June 21-July 22)

You don’t align with drama, Cancer, but you’ll get involved if you need to! “You’re the boss in charge,” says Thomas.

“Let everyone else laugh as you secretly move everyone around through your wisdom and party tricks,” he adds. “When you have your person of interest alone, tell them how you feel.”

Leo (July 23-Aug. 22)

Fire up the fireworks, Leo, because you’re the one they want to talk about!

“You’ve been on the grind and now is the moment to tell everyone what’s in your arsenal… or tell your past lovers what they’re missing,” says Thomas. “Be dramatic as you tell someone why they’re your favorite.”

Virgo (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Being polite and relaxed is your plan, Virgo — but this time, Thomas says “it’s off the table!”

He puts forth, “Go to every party possible and swiftly assert your dominance. All you have to say is, ‘Hello everyone, I’m here!'”

Libra (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You’re feeling a bit emo at the moment, Libra, but you’re always the social butterfly!

“You gotta shake it off,” says Thomas. “Brush your hair, grab your hottest outfit and very quickly find the best view for the fireworks with your friends — and take selfies, of course!”

Scorpio (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Scorpio, Thomas says “it’s clear” you’re on a path to have “the best time” right now.

“You’re glad people are whispering about your good deeds,” says Thomas. “Just have fun! Don’t be too wicked when you seduce everyone!”

Run forward into passion as quickly as you can, Aquarius. “True love can happen,” Thomas puts forth.

Pisces (Feb. 19-March 20)

Pisces, Thomas says to “take this time to cautiously evaluate what you want in your connections.”

“Your family, past and home is highlighted, so have people over or think about how your emotions ground you,” he continues. “On a sassy side, hook up with a family friend or a person you knew years ago!”

Thomas adds, “If you’ve been dancing with a long lost love, you could find they are the one!”
