The 46-year-old, who wishes to remain anonymous, made the bet on an impulsive night out with friends on Chaloner Street.
He placed his £1 on the Ace King Progressive side bet and, after going head-to-head with the dealer, was left in disbelief when he won £48,429.58.
To achieve this feat with a £1 chip, both the player and dealer must draw a blackjack match, each holding the Ace and King of the same suit.
A crowd gathered to congratulate the winner, who can now look forward to the festivities with his “early Christmas gift.”
