Housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes South Wales has today (13 Dec) announced a total donation of £10,500 to five Welsh charities — helping support local communities when they need it most.
Two Rhythms, an arts therapy charity dedicated to transforming the lives of people living with disabilities, received a donation of £1.5k from Barratt Developments’ Community Fund — offering financial support to charities and organisations that enhance the quality of life of residents local to Barratt’s developments.
Blood Bikes Wales and Challenge Wales have also each benefited from a £1.5k Community Fund donation, supporting the NHS’s transportation of blood samples and plasma; and providing sailing opportunities for young people to build their teamwork skills, resilience, and confidence, respectively.

“By supporting these incredible charities, we’re helping those who make a real difference to people’s lives across South Wales. From fostering creativity and independence to saving lives — these organisations are doing vital work, and we’re proud to be able to support their missions.”
And with homelessness at an all-time high in Wales this Christmas — with over 13,500 people thought to be homeless or living in temporary accommodation* — Barratt is also donating an additional £6,000 to two charities working to prevent homelessness in Wales: Llamau and second charity, to be confirmed in the new year.
Llamau is a charity on a mission to eradicate homelessness for young people and vulnerable women — having supported over 100,000 vulnerable people, with respect and empathy, since it was founded in 1986.
Barratt’s donation will help provide warm accommodation and the support needed to make sure no child has to face the holidays without a place to call home.
