Traffic for Wales (TfW) report that due to the persistent poor conditions from Storm Darragh, all lines between Holyhead and Chester are currently impacted.
TfW advise that this disruption is expected to last for the rest of the day, with passengers asked to avoid travelling if possible.
TfW gave the following advice to passengers: “Due to heavy rain and strong winds caused by Storm Darragh, Transport for Wales services operating between Holyhead and Chester will be severely disrupted all day on Monday, 9th December.
“We strongly advise you avoid travelling if you can. Trains are running but there is major disruption, and you may be heavily delayed or experience severe overcrowding.”
Storm Darragh also created disruption across the weekend, with passengers initially told that they would be able to use their tickets from Saturday (December 7) or Sunday (December 8), on today’s services.
