There is a growing interest for travellers to find unique locations that offer tranquillity, wellness, and experiences tailored to a changing climate.
As part of this, the travel site Booking.com has revealed its top 10 trending destinations for UK travellers in 2025.
Their latest Travel Predictions include dark-sky destinations like Tromso in Norway and the scenic coastlines of Sanya in China.

The top 10 trending destinations for UK travellers in 2025 according to Booking.com’s Travel Predictions based on year-on-year (YOY) search are:

- Tromsø, Norway (122% YOY search increase)
- Sanya, China (85% YOY search increase)
- Trieste, Italy (77% YOY search increase)
- San Pedro de Atacama, Chile (75% YOY search increase)
- Houston, United States (60% YOY search increase)
- Naha, Okinawa, Japan (39% YOY search increase)
- Villajoyosa, Spain (63%YOY search increase)
- Tignes, France (24% YOY search increase)
- Willemstad, Curaçao (12% YOY search increase)
Discussing where travellers could stay in Tromso, Booking.com shared: “For travellers shunning the sun for darker nights, the glass roofs and gigantic panoramic windows of Aera – Glass cabins encourage wanderers to immerse themselves in the night sky.”
