MONTH OF November
Feel like hiding from the world, Leo? Even if that’s the opposite of your usual M.O., we can hardly blame you. With the Sun in Scorpio and your sensitive fourth house until November 21, you could be an emotional sponge amidst the chaos of the world. Hunker down in your cave, Leo—just promise us you’ll leave the house to vote! (No hair, makeup or glam required.)
Scorpio season is your annual nesting time, and with a Scorpio new moon kicking off the month this November 1, home and family could be very much on your mind. You might be looking for a new address, planning the holidays or creating a mood board for a 2025 decor upgrade. The urge to submerge will be extra potent in the first couple days of the month, especially as Election Day approaches.
But escaping into your Martha Stewart bubble (she’s a Leo, too) won’t always be an option. A stressful Mercury-Uranus opposition at the start of November could also make it hard to juggle personal and professional demands. Career curveballs could bring chaos that spills into after-hours time, or a homefront situation could distract you from your duties at work. Argh!
But here’s some good news: On November 3, energizer Mars finishes a two-month field trip through Cancer and your tender twelfth house and moves into Leo. Your batteries get an instant recharge and your zest for life returns. Ah, now that’s more like it!
Since September 4, you may have volleyed between feeling wired and tired. If you haven’t had your usual pep in your step, this is also why. Once Mars arrives in your sign on the 3rd, your batteries are full. You’ll want to use this “MOVEmber” momentum to your advantage. Get back to the gym, close some deals, finish a project. Nail down holiday shopping and travel plans—especially with Mercury retrograde from November 25 to December 15 (more on that shortly).
Here’s the not-as-great news: Although Mars remains in Leo for the rest of the year, it turns retrograde on December 6, reversing through your sign until January 6, then backing into Cancer. Mars will be retrograde until February 23, and it will linger in Cancer until April 18. The first four months of the year will find you back in the cocoon at times, needing to take dedicated time-outs to replenish your batteries. (There are worse things than having to prioritize self-care, Leo!) Then, from April 18 to June 17, Mars will zoom back into Leo. The exciting projects you start now could really come to life in the spring. Get busy setting up the foundation.
Mars won’t make a gentle landfall in Leo, either. Just as it exits Cancer on November 3, it parts with a spicy opposition to shadowy Pluto in Capricorn and your analytical sixth house. If you’re on the verge of a meltdown, send an SOS to a supportive person right away. Otherwise, resentments that have simmered below the surface could explode in a hostile confrontation. You know those times when you start arguing about, say, who left the dishes in the sink, and it turns into something much uglier (“I never really liked your friends anyway!”)? It’s one of THOSE days. Avoid the temptation to unleash a below-the-belt attack that won’t be quickly forgotten.
With Mars and Pluto touching down in your health sectors, you may get doctor’s orders to make a lifestyle change. Honestly, just the pressures of modern life are enough to throw off your equilibrium, and if you’re not eating well, resting enough or effectively managing stress, your body WILL let you know. Don’t ignore any nagging aches now. It’s better to be safe than sorry. There’s also a powerful mind-body link, so if you’re having any mysterious symptoms, they could be related to an emotional upset or unresolved pain.
The middle of the month will be action-packed, too: On November 15, structured Saturn wakes up from a five-month retrograde and a Taurus full moon beams into your career zone. This could be an exciting money moment! Gave up on that year-end bonus? Telling yourself everyone’s “gone for the holidays” so you should save that pitch ‘til 2025? Guess again, Leo. Your moment is NOW.
Since June 29, Saturn’s retrograde slogged through Pisces and your eighth house of joint ventures, wealth and intimacy. A promising relationship, whether business or personal, may have hit a few speed bumps. You may have been navigating some heavy emotional waters or paying down debut. As Saturn corrects course, stalled plans pick up speed. You could close a deal or make things official in your love life before the year is through.
Meantime, the Taurus full moon in your success sector gives your ambitions a burst of rocket fuel. Goals you’ve worked on since the spring could finally come to fruition! With shock-jock Uranus conjunct the full moon, things could happen fast. A sudden job offer or changing of the guard at your workplace could surprise you. Uranus rules technology, so if you have a savvy startup idea or a product to launch, this could be a promising time. From digital marketing to social media, the middle of the month is spring-loaded for success.
Partnerships power up when Pluto settles into Aquarius for a 20-year run this November 19, bringing deep transformation to your closest relationships. Between now and 2044, you’ve got potent lessons ahead about companionship, commitment and how you parcel out the give-and-take in your life.
Do you think you’re better off alone? Or maybe you have the opposite feeling, and have a very low tolerance for being on your own. With Pluto in your opposite sign of Aquarius, you could mine long-rooted and unexamined beliefs about your own worthiness, safety and even lovability. Relationships can no longer be used as a crutch. Pluto will reveal where you may have addictive or compulsive tendencies in love. (To wit: Leo Jennifer Lopez’s shocking split from Ben Affleck came during one of Pluto’s brief dips into Aquarius earlier this year.)
As the saying goes, “Your vibe attracts your tribe.” With Pluto in Aquarius, you’ll become keenly aware of subtle relationship dynamics as well as how the people around you might be mirroring different parts of yourself. If the “same” troubling personality type keeps showing up in your sphere, it’s a sign. Pluto in Aquarius can help you heal the part of yourself that keeps getting unconsciously drawn into this struggle. Rather than shun the messenger, look at everyone in your life as a helpful guide, pointing the way to where you can grow.
As Pluto departs from Capricorn, you may experience a boon to your health that’s 16 years in the making. Since January 2008, Pluto’s been transforming your sixth house of health, organization and helpful people. You’ve been learning powerful (and sometimes painful) lessons about micromanaging and delegating, as well as managing your own energy levels.
In these past 15 years, as Pluto pivoted between Capricorn and Aquarius (since March 2023), you’ve started to integrate the important things you’ve learned about self-care, stress, burnout and perfectionism. Now, you can leave this phase safely in the rearview, as Pluto won’t return to Capricorn ever again in this lifetime. Get ready to move into a two-decade cycle of Pluto in Aquarius that will last until January 19, 2044!
Whew! Ready for some holiday cheer, Leo? You’ll have a strong appetite for fun starting November 21, when the Sun begins its monthlong visit to Sagittarius and your fifth house of passion, play and creativity. If you’ve been cooped up at home, shuck those yoga pants and slip into something cute and head-turning. Your fierce Leo roar is back!
With the Sun (your cosmic ruler) heating up your frisky fifth house, you’ll be flirty and in the mood for romance. Book those date nights and make the rounds of holiday parties with your favorite plus-one. If you start the night solo, don’t expect to end it that way.
Just when things start to feel holly-jolly though, communication planet Mercury douses the crackling yule log by turning retrograde from November 25 to December 15, in Sagittarius, fizzling some of the spark from your festive fifth house. Luckily, you’re an unstoppable Leo—but prepare for a few hiccups all the same.
With Mercury retrograde in your fifth house of passion and self-expression, drama or miscommunications could riddle your love life, especially if you leap into a fling or get swept off your feet too fast. Since retrogrades can bring back the past, an ex could resurface. You might be tempted to duck under the mistletoe and see if there’s still any magic between the two of you. However, you could end up with coal in your stocking if you rush into a reunion. The chemistry may still be strong, but that doesn’t mean the trouble spots have cleared up.
With Mars turning retrograde on December 6—in Leo for a full month, no less—you’ll want to tread lightly for the rest of the year. Anxious though you may be for answers, better to let 2024 close out at a manageable pace.
Since retrogrades return us to the past, this could be an especially nostalgic holiday season. Revisit the resolutions you made in January. Is there one that could realistically be taken over the finish line without exerting too much effort? Focus your energy there and you could have a miracle before the calendar turns!
Va-va-freakin’-voom, Leo! Not only is Venus tearing it up in adventurous Sagittarius and your passionate fifth house until November 11, but on November 3, sizzling Mars storms into your sign for the first time since July 2023. Translation: You’re in high demand, Leo—for the first half of this month especially!
When the red planet visits you every 18 to 24 months, your mojo can go from a simmer to a boil almost instantly. To maximize this potential, there’s only one rule: no dwelling on the past allowed! The lion’s out of the cage, so shake off any lingering drama from earlier in the fall. The future is lit up with possibility this month, but you have to stay alert so you can pounce when passion heats up.
Venus leaves the sexy Sagittarius sphere on November 11 and marches into Capricorn, landing in your sixth house of health and service for a month. Finally, you can settle into some sort of romantic routine despite your busy work schedule (cue fellow Leo Kylie Jenner’s recent low-key NY pizza date with Capricorn Timothee Chalamet).
Glitz and glam is great, but for the rest of November, nothing feels sweeter than mutual support with someone who cares about your dreams, and vice versa. Careful not to slip into martyr mode though! Ask for what you need directly instead of dropping hints that are only obvious to you. This is especially important to remember with Mercury turning retrograde in assumptive Sagittarius and your expressive fifth house from November 25 to December 15.
Another note about Mercury retrograde? Brace yourself for a classic case of the “ex-files,” as retrogrades have a knack for bringing the past back into focus. Old flames might just slide into your DMs, looking to reignite a spark. Whether it’s a nostalgic message or an unexpected call, this period can stir up feelings you thought were long gone. While it might be tempting to dive back in, take a moment to reflect on what you truly want. And if you do decide to give a situationship another whirl, tread lightly and watch for the same red flags popping up again.
We’ll be honest, Leo: There will be moments that you’re in the mood for anything BUT work during the first three weeks of November. With the Sun in Scorpio and your domestic fourth house until November 21, “work from bed” sounds like the most appealing option.
But who says you can’t turn your roost into a revenue-generating empire? The opportunity to start a home-based business or work remotely (if you don’t already) could pop up near the November 1 Scorpio new moon. Leo HQ might just be the “flagship location” of your new online marketplace or Etsy shop.
With go-getter Mars blazing into Leo from November 3 to January 6, the rest of the year is also prime time to step on the gas. And since Mars turns retrograde on December 6, this is really the month to double down on your efforts. Lean into the momentum!
A peak career moment arrives at the November 15 Taurus full moon, activating your tenth house of success and professional endeavors. La luna’s powerful moonbeams could bring a total change of position or path, the departure of a key decision maker or a brand-new client that takes your career to new levels. Ambitious seeds planted around the May 7 Taurus new moon earlier this year could be coming to bloom.
Just watch out for Mercury retrograde, a tricky transit that foils technology, communication and travel, from November 25 to December 15. While Mercury could bring delays to your existing projects or launches, the planet’s backspin through Sagittarius and your creative fifth house might have you feeling inspired to rework an old idea. It’s time to work it out on the remix and deliver an opus worth celebrating, much like fellow Leo Charli XCX. (Brat winter has a ring to it too…doesn’t it?)
