‘Zip World? Completed it mate’ Inbetweeners star braves thrilling tourist attraction

The TV show, which also spawned two movies, is still fondly remembered by fans who love to recite memorable quotes from the series.

The show has also inspired hundreds of memes. 

Zip Word shared a photo of the actor taken by a staff member with the public on its Facebook page.

James Buckley is an actor, musician, YouTuber and podcaster.

Best known for playing Jay Cartwright in the E4 sitcom The Inbetweeners, the character was infamous for exaggerating his achievements.

He also played the young Del Boy in the BBC comedy-drama Rock & Chips and the main character Brian Weaver in the comedy-fantasy series Zapped.

He has also appeared in movies, including Everywhere and Nowhere and The Pyramid, as well as the two Inbetweeners movies.

It was his role as Jay that inspired a slew of comments on Zip World’s Facebook page.

Sharon Voss said: “I bet he built it!”

Katie Hall said: “He went so fast, the sonic boom could be heard over in Dublin.”

Robert Kendall said: “Zip world, completed it mate!”

Daniel Loney said: “Completed it mate!”

Ian Cummins asked: “Wasn’t he first to do it before it was even open!!”

But Arwel Bodlas asked: “Who is he?”

Zip World runs the biggest zip-line attraction in the Northern Hemisphere, in Bethesda, which opened in 2013.
