When do the Wallabies play next? Full 2024 Internationals schedule and results for Australia | Sporting News Australia

Date:

The Wallabies begin 2024 under new management, as new coach Joe Schmidt looks to lead the Wallabies to success after a horror run in the preceding 12 months.

2023 was as close to a disaster as you can get: the Wallabies finished last in The Rugby Championship with no wins, were eliminated at the pool stage of the Rugby World Cup for the first time ever, and had coach Eddie Jones walk out after just 10 months of a deal meant to last to the end of the 2027 World Cup.

The saying ‘the only way is up’ springs to mind when thinking of the Wallabies in 2024, though they will face tough tests against strong opposition as they look to recover their reputation on the world rugby stage.

The Sporting News details all of the Wallabies test matches for 2024.

When do the Wallabies play next?

The Wallabies will head over to New Zealand to take on the All Blacks in the second match of the Bledisloe Cup.

Schmidt’s side fell to a 31-28 defeat on home soil against their rivals in a much-improved performance after being blown out of the water by Argentina earlier in the month.

They will take on the All Blacks at Sky Stadium on Saturday, September 28.

Wallabies 2024 internationals

The Test series against Wales marked the beginning of a big year for the Wallabies, as they face difficult challenges at home and abroad.

The Rugby Championship in August and September will see them look to reclaim face against familiar foes New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina in the six-game series.

They then travel to the Northern Hemisphere in November to take on England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in a gruelling month of rugby.

All of this is preparation for the tour of the British and Irish Lions, which is taking place in 2025.
