Clwyd Pension Fund reappoints Capital Dynamics to invest in clean energy infra projects in Wales

Clwyd Pension Fund, a local government pension fund administered by Flintshire County Council in Wales with nearly £2.5 billion ($3.2 billion) in value, has reappointed Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, as a manager to invest in clean energy infrastructure in Wales.

Structured as a separately managed account (SMA), this partnership aims to deliver new green energy investments in Wales under the Welsh Government’s National Development Framework, contributing to Wales’s vision of sourcing 100 percent of its energy from renewable sources. This initiative also will foster local ownership of new infrastructure.

This renewed investment follows the successful deployment of Clwyd’s original investment and underscores the strengths of the ongoing partnership between Clwyd and Capital Dynamics’ clean energy platform.
