Kate Middleton at Wimbledon 2024

Ardent Kate Middleton followers who were worried that the princess won’t be attending her beloved Wimbledon tournament this year can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Princess of Wales received a warm welcome and a standing ovation at the Wimbledon Men’s Final as she returned to Centre Court in her second public appearance of 2024.

Kate Middleton’s entrance into the Royal Box was particularly delightful in light of her recent announcement about undergoing cancer treatment. The princess was all smiles as she walked in with her daughter Charlotte, wearing the most elegant midi dress.

Eagle-eyed fans were also quick to notice a bow attached to her ensemble. For the unversed, the accessory, a bow in dark green and purple hues, has been a fixture in her attire for past Wimbledon events. It signifies her role as the patron of AELTC, which manages the Championships. Since 2016, she has been a dedicated supporter of Wimbledon, aligning with the club’s decision in 1909 to adopt green and purple as its official colors.

Kate wore the bow as a tribute back in 2017 and has since continued the tradition. Check out Kate Middleton’s elegant new look right here:

Decoding Kate Middleton’s Wimbledon Fashion

For all fashion enthusiasts out there, Kate is wearing the Safiyaa Cecilia Lilac Midi Dress, which she seems to have modified to feature a higher neckline. The Rs 1.14 lakh dress in a gorgeous purple colour comes with a twist bodice and structured sleeves.

Accompanying her mum Kate was her daughter Princess Charlotte, who was dressed to impress in a charming polka dot dress, a pattern frequently favoured by her mother at Wimbledon in recent years.

Kate Middleton last made a public appearance in June, for Trooping the Colour. That was also her first appearance in public for a formal event after the news of her cancer treatment broke the internet.
