Mindset was wrong – Reespublished at 16:10

FT: South Africa 41-13 Wales

Richie Rees
Former Wales international on BBC Radio Wales

You look at who played well for Wales; Dewi Lake, Matthew Screech, Taine Plumtree, Aaron Wainwright – all forwards.

We saw bits of Liam Williams aerially and that was simply through South Africa’s kicking game

Our backs didn’t have the ball, they didn’t give themselves a chance to play.

I just think the mindset was probably wrong going into the game, it was a game of containment more than anything else.

But the effort was there… there is going to be a lot to review and preview going into that Australia trip.
