New Chair and Managing Director for P&A Group

Date:

Mold-based P&A Group has announced a new Chair and Managing Director.

Steve Morgan becomes Chair after 25 years as Managing Director, a role he took over from his father, Malcolm Morgan, who founded the company in 1985. Andrew Baker becomes Managing Director. Andrew has worked for the business for 16 years and, for the past six years, has been Financial Director.

The P&A Group comprises Zest Outdoor Living, a leading supplier of award-winning timber garden products, the award-winning Woodworks Garden Centre and Café in Mold, P&A Pallets & Packing and St Andrews Business Centre for leased and virtual offices.

Steve said:

“I am delighted to share that Andrew will take on the role of MD.  No-one can doubt his commitment, passion and dedication to succeeding and I am confident he will do a great job. I know that everyone will get behind him and support his ambitions.

“We have already started working on refining our Vision and Mission to evolve a strategy where we work together to become even more innovative, with plenty of scope for us to evolve and transform.”

Andrew said:

“I am honoured and excited to take on this new role. As MD, my vision is clear: to foster a culture of excellence and inclusivity and to harness the power of innovation through customer focus by identifying and satisfying customers and being aware of market trends.”

For more than 14 years Andrew and Steve have led on fundraising initiatives for the P&A Group’s chosen annual charity, ensuring thousands of pounds have been raised for a long list of charitable organisations. As a seasoned marathon runner, he believes that employee health and wellbeing are key factors for the whole company.

Andrew said:

“Charitable fundraising is more than just raising money, it’s also about fostering a community of support, understanding and compassion. We firmly believe that spending time with others, immersing ourselves in the great outdoors, and engaging in physical activity are not just hobbies but essential tools in our arsenal against the struggles of mental health and wellbeing. They also help to deliver a better work life balance, something everyone wants to achieve.”
